What you need:

At Ripanco Kennels, we are very concerned about the health and well being of all  our pets. While we require that all animals be up to date on vaccinations, we also recognize the growing body of proof that over vaccination can be harmful in its own right. Therefore, in agreement with the research of Dr Jean Dodds, we require the following vaccinations and/or antibody titers. We highly recommend the use of titers after the initial series of vaccines.

Dogs:

• Rabies vaccinations within 3 years or titer or veterinary waiver.
• Distemper/parvovirus initial series, titer or booster every three years after.
• Internal Parasites: All dogs must have a negative fecal exam including giardia within three months of a first stay. Regular clients will need to check every 6 months. Any dog who tests positive must have a full treatment (3-4 weeks) with a follow up negative test.

Feline:

• Rabies vaccinations within 3 years or titer.
• FVRCP or equivalent within 3 years or titer

For the health of all pets visiting Ripanco Kennels we also require the following

• All animals must be free of symptoms of any contagious conditions.
• All animals will be checked for fleas and ticks. If found, the animal will be treated at owners expense.
• All medications must be clearly labeled.
• All food containers must be disposable, non breakable.
• Dogs must wear a buckle on collar. ID tags recommended
• All dogs must be leashed upon arrival and departure
• All cats must be in a suitable cat carrier.

What you don't need:

We provide all of the following items during your pets stay:

• bedding
• food and water bowls
• measuring utensils
• food: except special diets
• We do not use or allow toys
